My name is Lindsey, 

I am a self trained milliner with over 20 years of experience of sewing and making experience but the last 4 years my skills have focused on millinery.

I have been enthralled at how the materials used in millinery are transformed by steam, needle and hands. 

Magpie tendencies 

The Milliners Stash has been born out of my tendency to collect beautiful and rare materials like 1960’s French sequins, 1970’s disc sequins from west Germany, rolls of British silk mix vintage Petershams ribbon and even panels from 1920’s opera coats.

These magpie tendency’s have also bled into my millinery. I have sourced old hats with amazing materials  including vintage sisal. I love making the ordinary, extra ordinary a high street straw hat can be turned into a statement piece and given a new lease of life. 
The materials I work with are vintage inspired and create stylish, individual hats that stand out for all the right reasons. 

Every hat in The Milliners Stash has had a previous life just like each and everyone of us. Also like me, every hat is proudly made in Coventry. Always original and never to be repeated.
